At Casita de Montessori we accept that the role of Montessori Director is to be the bridge that connects the child to the environment, but most importantly, that our greatest contribution is to not be a hindrance to the spontaneous and genuine learning of the child. Our aim is to allow the natural curiosity of the child to emerge. We facilitate the learning process by carefully preparing the environment and step back to witness the children as they make their own discoveries and draw their own conclusions.
Casita de Montessori performs earth-conscious procedures. We use materials that are reusable, saying ‘no’ to disposables that pollute our environment and destroy our world. Our cleaning supplies are composed of natural, non-toxic, biodegradable ingredients. We use cloth napkins, hand-towels, and non-disposable eating materials. Much of the environment consists of repurposed or reclaimed items. Casita de Montessori sets the example for environmentally responsible practices.
